The retreat will be located at a private venue in Oakland, California. The exact location will be provided with confirmation of your registration.

Retreat Costs

Day 1 and Day 2 registration fees are on a sliding scale:
$75; $100; $125; $150; $175; $200.

A limited number of partial scholarships are available (see “Scholarships”). Contributions on the upper end of the scale create opportunities for lower-income individuals to attend.

Day 3 and Day 4 are a flat rate of $25 per day to cover the costs for lunch and beverages.

Overnight accommodations: We would like to be able to provide lodging for the retreat, but it is not currently within our capacity. We're asking participants in the Bay Area to support by offering housing for other retreat participants. A link to offer or connect with overnight accommodations will be provided once registration is confirmed.

Carpools: A link to offer or request transportation will be provided once registration is confirmed.

Scholarships

There are a limited number of scholarships available for Day 1 and Day 2 at $50 per day.

We are offering the scholarships on an honor system and on a first-come first-served basis.

In order for us to continue this work, we must be able to cover the costs so that it is financially sustainable. Your registration directly enables us to put this retreat together.

ACCESS (Day 1 and Day 2)

  1. There are two entrances to the building: Both are on the street level, without steps. The primary one that will be used is accessed via a paved driveway, with a lip at the threshold to enter the building. The second one is accessible directly from the sidewalk.

  2. Lower Level: This level includes a large room, a wheelchair-accessible restroom, and a mini-kitchen.

  3. Upper Level: There are indoor and outdoor stairs between the lower and upper levels. Some of the breakout sessions will be held on this level, which includes multiple smaller rooms, two restrooms and a full kitchen.

  4. The event is scent-free, and there is scent-free soap in the restroom. You can learn more about how to be scent-free here.

COVID PROTOCOL

In consideration of the health and safety of our collective community, including elders and immunocompromised individuals, please take a COVID test within 24 hours of attending the retreat. Please do not attend if you test positive or feel unwell. Upon arrival on July 4, we will ask you to self-administer a COVID test on-site. If you do not attend on July 4, we will ask you to test upon arrival on July 5. COVID test kits will be provided.

The venue on July 4 and 5 has outdoor space for eating and socializing, though workshop sessions will take place indoors. On July 6 we will be at the beach, and on July 7 at an outdoor park. Club Night on July 6, 8pm - 2am is at an indoor venue.
